Serious professional growth.

Learn the foundations. Step into Asterra Group. Work with real questions, realistic data and imperfect information. Then explain the decisions that are yours.

01

Build your foundation.

Short lessons. A practical task. A chance to test your thinking. Develop the actuarial understanding before you delegate.

Eight lessons, one step at a time.
02

Investigate with your agent.

Direct your own AI agent through the case. Query the data, test assumptions and inspect the work as it appears in Acta.

Powerful assistance. Active oversight.
03

Defend your judgement.

Make a recommendation you understand. Answer an AI examiner’s questions independently, in your own words.

Your reasoning takes centre stage.

See the work.
Shape what happens next.

Connect the agent you already use to Acta. It reads the case data and records its progress. You inspect the evidence, challenge the assumptions and steer the next step.

GENERAL INSURANCE

Claims severity review

Your brief

Asterra Insurance’s claims severity has deteriorated. Should the claims-inflation assumption change?

Finding recorded

A change in the claims mix.

Large losses account for most of the increase. Compare like-for-like claims before changing the inflation assumption.

A plausible answer
is only the start.

How you got there matters. ThinkActuary considers your investigation, the work recorded through Acta and your independent defence.

What did the agent miss?
What would change your mind?”

These are ThinkActuary’s indicative comparisons of learning depth, not formal exam equivalences, exemptions or endorsement by a professional body. SOA, CAS and Australian fellowship pathways do not split directly into our Levels II and III.

Studying through another body, or already qualified? Use the learning stages as your guide. Start with Level I to learn the agentic workflow, then build towards greater complexity. Your exam route does not restrict participation.

Meet Asterra Group.

One fictional financial services group. A whole world of actuarial decisions. Asterra spans insurance, medical aid, banking, investments and retirement, bringing the domains together in a shared business setting.

Your first assignment sits within Asterra Insurance: investigate motor claims and advise on a pricing assumption. The current case uses synthetic insurance data; future cases can take you into the group’s other businesses.

What is the Agentic Actuary Accreditation?

A programme in development to teach and assess how effectively you work with Agents on actuarial problems. You can try the Level I prototype now. Its feedback is provisional; it does not yet issue a formal credential.

Do I need to use a particular AI agent?

Use your own compatible agent, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Codex, with the existing Acta connection. The module explains the connection in plain language and gives you a short-lived code to link your assessment. One connection handles both case data and your recorded work.

How is my work assessed?

ThinkActuary evaluates the structured record created through the Acta MCP, alongside your final deliverable. Assessment considers your investigation, verification and professional judgement. The Level I POC requires an independent conversation with an AI examiner who challenges your actual project and follows up on your answers.

Will I work with confidential company data?

No. Asterra Group is our fictional financial services group, spanning insurance, medical aid, banking, investments and retirement. Cases use realistic synthetic data. You work with professional context and deliberately imperfect information without exposing real confidential company information.

Does this replace my actuarial qualification?

No. This programme develops agentic actuarial capability alongside your actuarial knowledge and professional qualifications. It does not replace them.

When can I start, and what does it cost?

The Level I POC is free to try now. Results are provisional and do not issue a formal credential. The proposed future Level I founding price is USD 199. Levels II and III are coming soon.
